CEED Lending is an initiative of the Great Lakes Women’s Business Council (WBC). Providing business expansion financing and small business loans in the following nine southeast Michigan counties: Hillsdale, Jackson, Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, Washtenaw, and Wayne. We have made more than $8 Million in loans which created more than 1,800 jobs. As one of the first microlenders in Michigan, now offering LIFT loans and Oakland County Revolving Loan Fund (OCRLF) loans, we understand that small business owners typically need more than financing. Our loans are partnered with technical assistance services for our business owners.

Mission

Great Lakes Women's Business Council is committed to empowering women and minorities economically through access to capital assistance programs, business development training, vendor certification, and business-to-business networking. We provide effective business tools and remove barriers that hinder the development of successful, sustainable businesses. Our work strengthens the community by building collaborative partnerships and leveraging resources that increase equitable business growth opportunities.

Storytelling

P's and Q's Bakery and Cafe-provided the business with an e-commerce customer friendly website and logo design. This allows sales other than just in the store also a place for customers to see new products. The business is seeing an increase in sales and market exposure.

Clean Cut Dumpster-provided an e commerce website. Customers can go online and reserve dumpsters, place deposits. This access is 24x7 instead of customers having to wait until the office is open to call and reserve. Due to sales increase, the owner has purchased two additional dumpsters."
