At Pursuit, our mission is simple: to provide businesses with affordable loans and resources so that they can reach higher, transform and grow. This transformation may start with an individual borrower, but ultimately extends into the broader community, taking shape as new employment opportunities, economic development, and positive change.

Mission

At Pursuit, our mission is simple: to provide businesses with affordable loans and resources so that they can reach higher, transform and grow. Pursuit is a community-focused lender where businesses can access more than 15 loan programs that provide financing from $10,000 to $5.5 million with affordable rates and terms. Last year alone, Pursuit provided more than $292 million in funding through nearly 800 business loans, creating more than 2,200 jobs. In addition, we provided more than 4,500 COVID-19 relief loans. Pursuit is a nationally recognized organization that focuses on serving businesses and lending partners in Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.

Storytelling

In 2022, we worked with Collectiveffort, and Black-owned media, marketing, and co-working agency based in Troy, NY. The business was facing a projected revenue shortfall and got in touch with Pursuit for working capital. We were able to approve them for a $50,000 SBA Microloan to hire two new employees and fulfill a government agency contract. We're also connecting them with business advisory services at no cost to the business.

We also worked with Connecticut-based business Breakfast Belle, a Black-owned food product business. Pursuit worked with owner Tori Brown on a CT Small Business Boost Fund loan for $36,630 to hire more employees and expand her space. She's also working on selling her products in grocery stores and fund and resources she received through Pursuit are supporting that goal.
